I have worked in the Bladen County School System for 14 years,  starting out as a Teacher Assistant at Bladen Lakes Primary.  I worked as an office assistant for 2 years; and am currently in my 5th year in the Computer Lab at ETMS.

I married my high school sweet heart, Keith Dowd, in the summer of 1974.  He and I graduated from Tar Heel High School in June of 1975.    We are blessed to have 2 sons, Mickey and Marcus, and a lovely daughter-in-law, Candice, who is married to Mickey.   We are members of White Oak Baptist Church in White Oak.  Keith is a lay minister.  Together we are involved in a leisure ministry; and are currently looking forward to our 18th summer of  Sunday morning services on the waterfront at White Lake. 

I love animals, and my husband and I enjoy taking care of our numerous chickens, goats (recently had our first triplets born!), and 2 sassy cats!
